There is a story out today about Arizona State University disbanding the entire cheer leading team for racy photo's that surfaced. The questioned i asked when i saw the headline were these:
Were these pictures taken at a University sanctioned event?
Were they wearing anything that had the schools name on it?
How long ago were the pictures taken?
Did the pictures include all of the cheer leading members?
OK, in the article i got my answers to these questions. The pictures were taken at a cheerleader party, not a sanctioned University function. They were pictured in their bra and panties, nothing what so ever with the Universities name or logo on it. The pictures were taken around 2 years ago. Only 6 members of the squad were in the pictures. The Foxnews website showed the photos and they were very blurry and also fit into the calibur of clothing of a Victoria's Secret photo
Now i think this major over reacting on the schools part. How does the school have the right to punish any students for something that takes place in an environment that the school is not involved in? This just wreaks of privacy envasion.
Why is that when entities in this country receive federal funding, they beleive they have the right to punish people for things that DO NOT CONCERN them. If it is done off of the school's time than there is nothing the school can do. It reminds me of the school a few years back that suspended 2 students for having information about a fight they were going to have on thier personal myspace pages, and the fight wasn't even going to be on school property.
It is time to wise up people and take control of your life and stop letting the government and its funded croneys putting their stamp of control over your life! Lets take back our rights and liberty!
Viva Liberty!
